This paper presents the evaluation of mental stress measurement using heart rate variability. The heart rate
signals are processed first using Fourier transform, and then it is applied to wavelet transform. The activity
of the autonomic nervous system is noninvasive studied by means of autoregressive (AR) frequency
analysis of the heart-rate variability (HRV) signal. Some methods of noise rejection and robustness for AR
recursive identification are presented that make on-line frequency analysis of the heart-rate variability
signal more reliable.
Locally Adaptive Bilateral Clustering for Image Deblurring and Sharpness Enhancement
This paper presents an integrated deblurring
and sharpness enhancement algorithm for restoration of images corrupted by mild blur and improvement of image details. The proposed algorithm is capable of capturing local image structure by adaptively clustering pixels geometric and radiometric features based on their local augmented variational series.
Exploring Whole Brain fMRI Data with Unsupervised Artificial Neural Networks
fMRI data analysis is challenging because data
are generally a modest signal embedded in a high dimensional space. We present here a method for classification and discrimination among fMRI data that is based on the Self Organizing Map (SOM) algorithm. This allows no prior selection of spatial or temporal features. We applied the method to singlesubject

We present an automated supervised method which
assists in the diagnosis of Alzheimer's Disease (AD) using fMRI data. The method consists of five stages: a) preprocessing of fMRI data to remove motion and spatial noise artifacts, b) modeling of the data using Generalized Linear Models (GLM), c)
feature extraction, d) feature selection and e) classification using majority and weighted voting schemes.
